3 O'clock Productions has an interesting history. One film was made in 1989. That film was the Columbia College graduate project of Kevin D. Guzowski. His camera man was Jim Dougherty. That film was called Souvenirs. It was the fourth film the two had collaborated on, and the idea of starting a production company developed out of that relationship.
As Kevin and Jim worked on their first film beyond Columbia, life, as it can do, began to lead them on alternative paths. Kevin continued to write, and began working long hours at Aurora's Air Center to support his new family. Jim pursued training in stunt work, and managed The Degerberg Academy. They had no equipment, and with production costs and their new life paths, they never made that film. 3 O'clock Productions lived only as an idea.
Fast forward to 2007.
3 O'clock Productions begins anew. Jim Dougherty heads a team of creative talent with resourses in many areas. Kevin lives on the West Coast, and continues his writing and work, and offers moral support to Jim and the team. See the creative team page for bios on the core group.
3 O'clock Productions' mission to to produce engaging, entartaining, and artistic works on a micro budget. In today's world of video and computer software, films can be produced for a fraction of the cost of production only a few years ago.
3 O'clock's first film of the new era was the road rage action short, The Incident, written and directed by Jim Dougherty, with the score written by Jay Hinkelman. The film was made for 75 dollars, and has won awards from iKlipz, and the Indiana Actors.com Film Festival. |
